Well, I was warned. Several times actually. Don’t over complicate things. But I didn’t see what the big deal was. I figured it couldn’t be that hard. Butterfly Marketing membership platform. Amazon S3. Protected digital downloads. Lead capture. Exit popup. I can handle it. I have to make the best of my advertising dollars, right?
Well I’ve learned my lesson. Next site I do, I will do as simple as possible. Plain HTML. YouTube videos. Email link to downloads. Simple Aweber opt-in form. Should take me 1/10 the time it has taken me to complete my current project. A project I’m embarrassed to reveal btw. I was really disappointed with the results of one of my videos today. After all my hard work and the site still comes out looking like crap. That really hurts after putting so much time into it. I might as well just took the fast track, super simple route. It couldn’t possibly look any worse.
This is not the type of update I was hoping to post but it’s reality. I’m not a web designer. So be it. I’m moving forward and will start advertising the site in the next day or two. I don’t care how it looks right now. Hopefully the value will come through and I actually get a sale or two. How the site looks (plain Jane) should not take away from the message or the value, right? Well we will see. I’ll just pore on the value and let the chips fall where they may.

PS: For some strange reason this brand new blog now has a Pagerank of 3. Not sure why but I’m not complaining. Just hope it flows over to my money sites somehow.
